PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC APPROACHES TO RESTORATION OF ENDOTHELIAL FUNCTION

Current approaches to correction of endothelial dysfunction in cardiovascular diseases are discussed. The mechanisms of action of drugs, which improve the functional state of the endothelium, interrelation between clinical efficacy of the drugs and their capability to reduce endothelium dysfunction are shown. It is concluded that the data about the role of endothelium dysfunction determine the prospects of therapeutic methods based on improvement of the functional state of the endothelium.
