The findings of psychodiagnostic investigation of patients with affective organic disorders based on the study of emotional and cognitive spheres of mental activity are presented.

The article describes a system and methods of psychotherapeutic correction of spouse (including sexual) dysadaptation at endogenic and neurotic depressions in women accompanied by reduced sexual function. A high therapeutic effect of the suggested system is shown.

Basic principles of medical ethics in sexological practice are presented. The peculiarities of mutual relations of the doctor sexologist and the patient are discussed. It is emphasized that adherence of the doctor−sexologist of ethical principles will promote harmonization of family sexual relations.

The author presents the data suggesting that, according to the present−day culturological relativistic approach in civilized countries using social criteria, homosexual relations cannot be regarded as normal.

A high efficacy of atorvastatin (Storvas) in combination with hormone replacement therapy in patients with primary hypothyroidism, i.e. control of metabolic and hemodynamic disorders, improvement of the general condition, reduction of the frequency and degree of neurological manifestations, is shown.

The findings of neurological, in particular, vegetological investigation of adolescents with cerebral dysfunction, emotional neurotic disorders and personality formation disorders, are presented. The necessity of this examination at presence of risk factors of residual organic pathology development is emphasized.

The literature data about the role of aspirin resistance in coronary artery disease are discussed. The original new express method of determining sensitivity to aspirin is suggested. The role of aspirin resistance in development of cardiovascular events in the patients is shown.

The association of insertion polymorphism of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene and its increased activity in the blood plasma as well as multivascular character of atherosclerotic process in the coronary arteries and higher frequency of involvement of excracranial brain vessels with hemodynamic stenosis of the lumen were proven. The frequency and degree of atherosclerotic involvement of peripheral arteries of lower extremities did not depend on ACE gene polymorphism.

Updated data about chronic obstructive diseases of the lungs and their association with cardiovascular pathology are featured. The opinions about the mechanisms of this association and possibilities to investigate it are analyzed. Pulmonary disorders are shown to promote death from nonpulmonary diseases. The possibility to predict cardiovascular diseases in patients with chronic obstructive lung diseases is substantiated.

Clinical history data, the findings of echocardiography examination, schemes of antiarrhythmic and other accompanying therapy in patients with persistent ciliary arrhythmia who underwent planned electric cardioversion are analyzed. The predictors of unsuccessful cardioversion and parameters influencing ciliary arrhythmia relapses were determined.

The findings of investigation of a number of interleukines and proteins of acute phase of inflammation in patients with acute and chronic hyperplastic laryngitis are presented. The factors predisposing chronic inflammatory processes in the larynx and an abnormal reaction of the factors of intercellular immune cooperation in the patients ere revealed.

Contemporary views on pathogenetic mechanisms of allergic rhinitis (AR) development are featured. The peculiarities of the clinical course of AR at parasitic invasions are described.

Factor analysis allowed to reveal main components determining favorable (without exacerbation) and unfavorable (exacerbation) course of bronchial asthma. It is emphasized that achievement of favorable course of the disease is possible only at the correct organization of therapeutic and diagnostic process eliminating risk factors of exacerbation development.

The 10−year experience of surgical treatment for this pathology at Institute for General and Urgent Surgery is generalized. Main methods of operative treatment aimed at achievement of hemostasis and urine and feces derivation are presented.

The first experience of plastic restoration of the tissue of stage 4 bedsores based on the use of the original technique of skin adhesive tension and its combination with cryotherapy under the control of the changes in the state of the tissue and the defect area are presented. A high efficacy of the method is shown.

Pronounced changes in the liver function were revealed in patients with acute and chronic pleura empyema. The necessity of complex treatment for purulent pleura diseases with the consideration of the liver function disorders was shown.

The modern data on principles of development of response reaction of the organism to influence of stress aggression factor and participation in this reaction of gastrointestinal organs are submitted. A brief characteristic to the protocols of intensive therapy used at present is given.

The clinical significance of unequal leg length at myofascial pain syndromes is shown. The authors conclude about the necessity of its orthopedic correction.

Surgical treatment of C2 traumatic spondylolistesis and C1 anterior transdental subluxation using the original new technique of posterior spondylodesis C1−2 and C1/3 was analyzed. The efficacy and safety of the suggested technique is shown.

The data about main substrates of antioxidant system of microorganisms (catalase, peroxidase, superoxide dysmutase), their physical−chemical properties, functions, role in protection against oxidation stress developing due to both metabolic and infectious processes are reviewed. The prospects of the use of antioxidant enzymes of microorganisms as vaccines are shown.

The original findings about the clinical course of amebiasis are presented. The principles and methods of diagnosis and treatment of the infection are featured.

The causative factors of pollinosis, its main clinical manifestations and complications, peculiarities of prevention and contemporary approaches to therapy are discussed. Histaphen is recommended in treatment of pollinosis due to its high efficacy and low frequency of side effects.

The literature data about ultrasound investigation and Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis of endometrial cancer are presented. The difficulties of interpreting the findings of duplex echography are shown. It is suggested to use Doppler indices to increase specificity of the obtained findings.

Urgent issues of diagnosis of knee joint diseases (osteoarthrosis deformans, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis) are discussed. The criteria of differential diagnosis are suggested.
