The findings of hemodynamic parameters investigation in ischemic stroke and their analysis are presented. The data were obtained by transcranial Doppler ultrasonography of the brain vessels.

The data about the dynamics of pain syndrome, Z scale (neurological deficiency grade), sensitivity section of ASIA scale, motor deficiency in patents with lumbar spinal stenosis two weeks, six months, year, and two years after decompression and decompression−stabilizing surgery are presented.

Clinical instrumental findings of orthotopic heart transplantation are reported. Non−invasive (electrocardiographic, Doppler ultrasonographic at cardiac ultrasonography) criteria allowing to determine the group of the patients with a risk of clinically significant rejection reaction were revealed with the purpose of timely determining the diagnostic and therapeutic tactics.

The association between various types of orthostatic reactions (OR) of systolic arterial pressure (SAP) and clinical manifestations of stable atrial fibrillation was investigated in elderly patients. All types of OR of SAP with prevailing isotensive ones were observed in these patients. Hypotensive SAP OR were more frequent in old patients with severe arterial hypertension, isotensive in elderly patients with left ventricle ejection fraction < 40%.

The pathogenesis, diagnosis and methods to prevent and correct posthysterectomy syndrome based on complex investigation of women after hysterectomy are presented. It is shown that systemic pathological changes in women after hysterectomy result from hypoestrogeny, which is one of central pathogenetic links of posthysterectomy syndrome development.

The parameters of lipid blood spectrum were investigated in women with hyperprolactinemia and endocrine infertility.

The efficacy of catheter−guided thrombolysis and surgical thrombectomy in treatment of acute iliofemoral flebothrombosis was investigated. It was shown that the both methods promoted complete or partial restoration of venous blood flow, reliable prevention of pulmonary thromboembolism and post−traumatic disease.

The results of surgical intervention with formation of esophageal anastomoses were analyzed in 214 patients with gastric cancer operated at Institute of General and Urgent Surgery (National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine) within the period of 1999−2010. It is shown that modified techniques and methods of forming antireflux esophagoenteroanastomosis allowed to reduce the frequency of complications and death rate.

The problem of surgical treatment for metastases to the liver in patients with colorectal cancer is featured. It is shown that modern pharmaceutical techniques using monoclonal antibodies to epidermal and vascular growth factor allow to transfer a large amount of cases of liver metastases from inoperable to operable ones, which considerably increases the life span of the patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.

The presence of GST gene methylation and amount of tumor necrosis factor−α in the blood serum as well as morphological properties of tumors in patients with stage I−IV ovarian cancer (T1C−3CN0−1M 0−1) were investigated. It was determined that in patients with moderately differentiated qualitative parameters of the tumor, proliferative activity can be used to predict the remission duration. GST gene methylation is more frequently diagnosed in patients with ovarian cancer with worse prognosis of the disease course.

The peculiarities of early cardiovascular complications were investigated in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The role of the heart ultrasonography and Doppler study of the carotid arteries in early detection of the signs of vascular disorders was shown. The methods of cardiovascular complications prevention in diabetes patients were worked out.

The study showed that in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance and hyperprolactinemia treatment with Dostinex reduced the level of prolactin, normalized secretion and ratio of gonadotropins, reduced hyperandrogeny as well as insulin level before and after stimulation and provided positive dynamics of clinical signs.

The treatment of the patients with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus with monotherapy using Aktrapid NM was compared with complex insulin therapy. The efficacy of complex therapy resulting in compensation of carbohydrate metabolism and increase of hemopoietic blood activity in these patients was proven.

It is shown that consumption of the food with daily calorie content exceeding 3000 kcal created a high risk of forming excessive body mass and obesity in adult population of Baku. Educational work about energy content of the consumed foodstuff and their optimum combinations corresponding to energy intake of the organism and promoting body mass normalization is recommended.

The findings of the investigation of the state of immune homeostasis, endogenous intoxication and adaptation compensation mechanisms in patients with allergic and common dermatoses by integral hematological parameters are reported. The expediency of their application in prognosis of the relapses as well as assessment of dermatosis course severity and efficacy of the administered therapy was shown.

The level of serotonin and immunoglobulins E and G in the blood and lymph were determined in experimental anaphylactic shock and Overy's phenomenon. The changes of these parameters were shown depending on the type of antigen, its dose and rout of entering the organism.

Ukrainian and foreign literature on immune reactions in different types of HCV infection is reviewed. The peculiarities of specific humoral immunity, specific and unspecific cellular immunity, cytokine profile, interferonogenesis in this pathology are featured from pathogenetic, diagnostic and prognostic interpretation of the indices. The original findings are reported.

The findings of limited serological investigation of clinically healthy persons at detection of specific antibodies against Bartonella henselae and B. quintana are presented. It is shown that high prevalence of the antibodies to Bartonellas testifies for ubiquitous nature of the microorganisms and ordinary charac−ter of the infection.

The efficacy of polymerase chain reaction in revealing Neisseria meningitidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae b, Enterovirus, Herpes simplex 1/2, Epstein − Barr virus, Сytomegalovirus, Human herpes virus−6 in the cerebrospinal fluid as a method of diagnosis of acute meningitis allowing to increase the frequency of deciphering the etiology of purulent and serous meningitis is shown.

The mechanisms of action and clinical application of modern medication for antithrombotic prevention and therapy of various forms of atherothrombosis are featured.

The literature data about the incidence and mechanisms of traumatic injuries of the cervical spine in children are reported. The methods of ultrasonography diagnosis of atlas subluxation in children are shown. Doppler parameters of hemodynamics in the spinal arteries at neck traumas are shown.

New trends in investigation of various types of ultrasonography application with the use of three−dimensional simulation which were introduced in the Center of radiation diagnosis and interventional sonography of Feiofania Clinical Hospital (Kyiv) for prospective investigation with the purpose to created model−guided intervention medicine and general model of knowledge about the patient are described. The data about the use of the method by the example of the study of the anatomy of the nerves of lower extremities at regional anesthesia under ultrasound control are presented on three dimensional models and phantoms.

The literature data about the capabilities of x−ray computed tomography and ultrasonography in diagnosis and assessment of gastric cancer prevalence are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are shown.
