Abstract. The work covers the state of reproductive function in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Etiopathogenetic approaches to treatment of these patients are presented. Up−to−date approaches to surgery and post−operative management of the patients with polycystic ovary syndrome and tuboperitoneal infertility are analyzed. The use of concervative and surgical methods of treatment for polycystic ovary syndrome was analyzed. The indications to laparoscopic surgery and extracorporal fertilization were determined. 82% of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome have tuboperitoneal infertility associated with endometriosis which reduces the treatment efficacy from 60% to 19.5% and requires development of new methods of treatment including intraoperative application of anti−adhesion barriers.

Key words: polycystic ovary syndrome, infertility, treatment, endometriosis.
