The peculiarities of therapy with atypical antipsychotics for complications of paranoid schizophrenia in women

Abstract. Symptom specificity of the most common atypical antipsychotic drugs, nosomorphosis and pharmaceutical pathomorphosis of schizophrenia clinical picture were investigated. The study involved 60 women with paranoid schizophrenia with continuous course aged 18−50 treated at Kharkiv Rregion Clinical Psychiatry Hospital No. 1 who were administered second generation antipsychotics (risperidone, amisulpride, olansapin, clozapine) depending on the main psychopathological symptom complex. Clinical psychopathological methods and history investigation as well as PANSS technique were used to confirm predominance of symptom specificity of the effect (influence on positive and negative signs) of common atypical antipsychotics depending on dominating in the clinical picture of a definite sign, with that some cases required combination treatment or its change.
